2026 South Houston Concerned Citizens Matching Grant Guidelines
Matching Grant’s Purpose
To support the South Houston Concerned Citizens Coalition’s (SHCCC) community in a neighborhood improvement and/or beautification project. Our goal is to provide One Matching Grant from $750 up to $1,000 dollars to one affiliate (civic club or homeowners association). The objective is to partner with and support the community and contribute to improving its appearance and beautification.
How it Works
The grant money represents a partnership between SHCCC and the Civic Club or HOA that is awarded the grant. SHCCC will cover up to 50% of an approved projects total budget, with a maximum reimbursement of $1,000. Each competing organization will submit a planned project with an attached budget as outlined in the following
paragraphs. The winner of the grant will be given the green light to proceed with the project.
The actual grant money will be awarded to the winner of the grant only if the project meets the set guidelines, work is completed by the deadline and project is paid in full.
Original receipts, invoices, and cancelled checks/credit card receipts must be submitted after project completion to receive your matching grant reimbursement on expenses incurred. Note: Cash money, food, volunteers, or equipment cannot be reimbursed.
Application Process
Applications are accepted by email only. Applicants must submit an email to South Houston Concerns Citizens Coalition at SHCCC.community@yahoo.com with details regarding the project. This should include project name, project details, itemized cost and/or budget for the project, and how this project will benefit your neighborhood and community. All applications must be received on/or before October 31, 2026 (no exceptions). All applications received after the deadline will not be considered. Only one winner will be named.
